Name: Nathan Michael Wilfong, AKA: "Mr. Nate", "Mr. Wilfong"
Father To: Maximus, Ezekiel and Zion Wilfong
Hobbies: Teaching, Coaching, Training and spending time with family and friends.
Teaching Perspective: I believe every single student has the ability to grow academically and behaviorally! All students are champions! We may have bad days and that's okay, it's on us to learn and grow from it. It's all part of the process, to learn and be motivated to succeed!
Teaching Experience: This is my first year at La Center Elementary School. I taught the last five years at La Center Middle School as the S.L.C. Behavior Program Teacher. Prior to that I taught at Quest Academy (K-12) and Rainier School District (K-5). I have additional experience as a paraprofessional at Woodland Public Schools (K-4), Quest Academy (K-12) and Rainier (K-5). I'm also a CPI & Ukeru Behavior Trainer for La Center School District.
Education: I earned by Bachelors in Social Sciences with emphasis in Criminal Justice, Teaching Endorsements in Special Education and Reading, Masters in Communication with an emphasis in Adult Education, Principal Certificate and currently enrolled in a doctoral program.
Coaching Experience: I am currently coaching linebackers at Mountain View High School and La Center 2nd Grade Flag Football. I've coached football at Vernonia HS, Rainier HS, Kalama Youth, Kalama MS, La Center Youth and wrestling at Woodland HS, Kalama Youth and Kalama HS.
Favorite Food: Thai Food, is absolutely amazing!

Fun Facts: I played college football at Shasta College and was a walk-on at Portland State University. I completed my administrative program in 2022-2023 at La Center. I am also grateful for the opportunity to be in the doctoral program for educational leadership, I hope to be able to graduate in 2025.
